Managing Partner
Anthony Jarvis is the Managing Partner of Opportuna Legal, a corporate and commercial law firm based in Perth, Western Australia. He is admitted as a legal practitioner in Western Australia and New South Wales. Anthony advises on capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and commercial contracts. He acts for private companies, their boards, and their owners on the matters that shape ownership, capital, and succession.
Anthony brings more than twenty years of corporate and commercial legal experience across the private sector and government. He is a former member of the Takeovers Panel, the primary forum for resolving disputes in takeovers in Australia. His commercial work spans mergers and acquisitions, property and construction, intellectual property and information technology, due diligence, and corporate restructuring, with regulatory advice on the Corporations Act and directors' duties.
Anthony has served by ministerial appointment on the Western Australian Contaminated Sites Committee, the Northern Territory Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal, and the National Sports Tribunal. He has also served on the board of an Independent Public School in Perth.
Anthony holds a Master of Laws from the University of Melbourne, postgraduate qualifications in applied finance, and undergraduate degrees in commerce and law. He currently teaches at Curtin University Law School.
